Channa Ranatunga, CEO, is no stranger to the challenges in the supply chain and logistics industry. He spent many years as a pack-and-mail store manager, a solutions engineer for a warehouse automation startup, and even as a split-shift packer. Through these experiences, he witnessed a profound lack of tech solutions that actually worked, which compelled him to do something about it. In late 2018, Rabot was born.
As he gained more insights, Channa teamed up with Isura Ranatunga (brother), a passionate roboticist and ex-Apple engineer, and Sandeep Suresh (childhood friend), a product leader in AI/ML solutions. Together, they developed a Vision AI platform to help streamline the packing process with visibility into warehouse packing operations.
